This page will include a variety of items, spells, NPCs, alternate rules, etc. that I have created and tested personally at my table. It’s a work in progress but I will be updating it regularly with my backlog of homebrew D&D creations!

Items

Amulet of the Magi

Wonderous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

A simple golden necklace from which hangs a golden disc inlaid with a black opal.
This amulet allows you to cast spells beyond typical mortal ability. By drawing on your life force you can cast a spell without an available spell slot. If you do so, you gain additional levels of exhaustion equal to the spell level/2 (Rounded up). Exhaustion gained this way cannot be removed by magical means.


Cloak of the Motionless

Wondrous Item, Rare

While wearing this cloak, you can pull the hood over your head and remain stationary for one round to cause yourself to become invisible. While you are invisible, anything you are carrying or wearing is invisible with you. You become immediately visible if you make any movements (including attacks, somatic components, etc.) or speak.


Irru’s Fang

Weapon (dagger), Very Rare (requires attunement)

This dagger is bone white and cold to the touch. The blade is thick, and curved with a serrated edge on one side.
Attacks made with this dagger have a +1 bonus to attack and damage, and deal an additional 1d6 cold damage on hit.


Pied Pipes

Intrument (Pipes) , Legendary (Requires attunement)

A set of colourful wooden panpipes.
This instrument is believed to have been carved by a member of the Seelie Court. Once per day when you take an action to play these pipes you can choose one of the following effects:

– Up to 5 creatures of your choice must follow where ever you lead them (no save).
– Up to 2 creatures of your choice are charmed by you (no save).

Which ever effect you choose continues for up to 1 minute so long as you use your action to continue playing the pipes. The effect ends early if the creature takes damage. After the effect ends, until you complete a long rest you have disadvantage on any rolls involving Charisma, and creatures have advantage on any saves against your charisma. The pipes have no effect on creatures with Legendary Actions.


Statuette of a Loyal Companion

Wondrous Item, Rare

A Statuette of a Loyal Companion is a statuette of a beast small enough to fit in a pocket. It is an exact replica of a beast with whom you have a close bond. If you use an action to speak the command word, the bonded beast is subject to the teleport spell and can appear within 10 feet of you in a space of your choosing.

This item has no effect if the beast is unconscious or on a different plane than you. If the beast dies the statuette will immediately break.


The Will of Arseros

Weapon (whip), Unknown Rarity (requires attunement)

A smooth golden whip. The base of the handle resembles a lion’s head and the end has a heavy barb that resembles a lion’s tail tip.
Attacks made with this whip have a +2 bonus to attack and damage. Additionally, when you hit with this weapon you may expend one of its charges to activate Lion’s Roar.

Lion’s Roar: A thunderous crash emits from the tip of the whip, the target of the attack is must make a DC 16 con save. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t pushed.

The whip has 5 charges and recovers 1d4 charges each day at dawn.
